Georgia loves singing in church. Her ready winning smile and deep religious faith helped many. Then her mother was struck witha devastating disease. Nothing Georgia did seemed to help. At the hospital one day she saw a KEEP SMILING card at the nurse’s station.Intrigued she picked it up, read the message, smiled and said this is for you mom. When she went back to the room mom was sleeping and the nurse said the medication would keep her that way for the next 7 hours.Georgia decided to return in a few hours time. She left the KEEP SMILING card next to her mother’s bed and left.
Mom awoke earlier than expected. She moved her arm without the IV lookingfor her glasses. She them and underneath them was a card…KEEP SMILING. She did not feel like it…oh, she ached so. But she read the card and something just happened. Her mouth curled up and she grinned a little. Then Georgia walked in and said mom, you look great, what happened? Why Georgia, thank you much. Just keep a smiling going…you know how it helps me feel.
Mom left the hospital 2 days later.
